Group Class Registration
Explore vocal techniques in a relaxed setting through demonstrations, group vocal exercises and songs. Don't worry, you won't be required to sing alone! Beginners who have never taken lessons or performed find this class setting the most helpful. Uncover your natural tone while you learn proper mouth mechanics, vowels and consonants, posture, style choice, breath control, and daily vocal warm-ups. Materials included in the fee.
$65 per student for five week course, due 2/22/09

Everyone has done extremely well this fall and deserves to be congratulated. As an instructor, I have enjoyed working with dedicated students who truly appreciate the process of watching and listening to the voice develop - the natural tone coming to the surface, easily controlled and easily supported. The joy that comes from singing is contagious and there has been a lot of that amidst the hard work this season.
January marks the one year anniversary of ep voice in Athens, Ohio. It has been a wonderful year.

Fall Schedules
We are fast approaching the end of summer. School will begin, our streets will be filled with college students, there will be traffic on East State Street, and a Beginner Group Class will run again. Sign up on the wait list now for the October Adult Beginner Group Class, ages 16+. If you have taken this class before, sign up to take the second part of the Beginner Group series. Each group class is $65, runs 5 weeks, includes free class materials, and is conducted in a low anxiety learning environment.
If you are interested in classes for children ages 6-10 and 11-16, keep an eye on the ep voice calendar for evening workshops. Each workshop lasts one hour and is $20 per child. The younger group will explore the voice as an instrument, using songs and strange noises. The teen group will learn theory concepts through examples and vocal exercises as a group.
Don't worry, if you don't see a class scheduled on the calendar during a time you can commit to, or if you don't see one at all! Contact the instructor to be added to the wait list for a class that will be scheduled at a convenient time for you.

During this abbreviated session, with song selections and vocal warm ups, the instructor with test your range and listen to the quality of your tone. It will be a perfect time to ask questions and investigate if this is something you would like to pursue more seriously.
Don't let the summer go by without attending a workshop. One to two hours packed full of information about the vocal instrument, common mistakes and misconceptions, and basic proper technique in a relaxed environment. Take advantage of asking specific questions of the instructor. There are two workshops currently being scheduled for August 11th at 6:30PM & August 26th at 8PM, $20 each. If there is a different time you would like to request, feel free to send a quick email to epvoice@mail.com.
